The green roof, built by Inova Top Green, is the object of the new scientific experiment of “Sofia Water” AD, research center “CLEAN and CIRCLE”, which involves specialists from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG) and Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
The green roof was constructed at the end of 2021, following a public tender in which our company was selected as the contractor for a project by the Centre for Research and Design at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG).
The scientific experiment aims to analyze to what extent, by landscaping a roof with specially selected vegetation, the amount and velocity of runoff during rain can be reduced and, consequently, the load on the sewer system can be relieved.
